Lemon-Basil Champagne Cocktail

Serves Cocktails for 6

Ingredients:

6 Basil Leaves 

4 oz. Limoncello

6 oz. Gin

1 tbsp sugar plus additional for rimming glasses

Juice of 1 lemon, about 3 tbsp.

3 cup chilled Sparkling wine

Preparation:

Combine sugar, lemon juice, and muddle to dissolve sugar

Add Limoncello, Basil and shake.  (if you want make this “syrup” ahead of time and add champagne when you are ready to serve)

Strain into glasses and finish with Champagne

Garnish with Lemon Peel and Basil
