Allie's Apple Butter French Toast

A Spin on an Old School Favorite

Breakfast for 4

Ingredients:

8 Pieces of Sourdough or Brioche

1 Cup Half and Half

4 Large Eggs

2 tbsp Apple Butter

3 tbsp. softened Butter

½ tsp Granulated Sugar

Pinch of Salt

Preparation:

Combine All ingredients in medium bowl, except for bread, and briskly whisk to incorporate, set aside

Slice bread into 1.5 to 2 inch strips

Over Medium heat melt enough butter to barely line the bottom of pan

Submerge bread in egg mixture, coating thoroughly – place in pan

Repeat this process until pan is full, though not over crowded

Cook on each side for 2 minutes or until bread is lightly browned

*To Garnish Combine ½ cup of Powdered sugar with 1 tbsp. Ground Cinnamon and sprinkle over top

Tip:  To keep warm, hold in oven at 200 Degrees
