Any way you slice it, there's nothing like some good ol' sandwich satisfaction. Thankfully, Hampton Roads is chock-full of primo places to get your fix. Whether wholesome or gut-busting, the perfect hero is right around the corner, and this Weekly Yelp will guide the way!
Sandwiches can be a sensible snack. "It's places like the Cutting Edge that show people that 'healthy' and 'yummy' can fit in the same sentence." Megan C bit into their wasabi braised beef panini and didn't want the experience to end. Not feeling meat between your buns?
Steven A indulged at Quenna's Raw & Vegan. " Since it was Avocado Friday, I ended up ordering her avocado sandwich with sunbeam salad and seaweed appetizer." The omnivorous Yelper would never have given five stars to a vegan restaurant, but now admits, "I’m glad I was wrong in thinking such a thing."
And if you're feeling non-sensible, get your glutton on! Lance F dashes for the black and blue sub at Sam’s Texas Sub Shop: "a brisket sandwich with blackened seasonings, blue cheese, onions, mushrooms, and mayo." He suggests you "go now" to one of their happy hour specials throughout the week.
And Greg F warns: "Before you judge on price alone, check out the portions and taste," at Route 58 Delicatessen. With "insanely delicious" super-sized choices like hot pastrami, rare roast beef, the Triple D and their many open-faced sandwiches, Greg proclaims, "this deli is no joke." Serious sammiches!
